Sofias and Ngahirakas movie :Native and creative

Ngahiraka and Sofia have worked very hard to produce this video of our trip to the Botanical Gardens. They used videos taken on our flip camera and turned it in to a brilliant film.  It is a little bit fuzzy but we hope you enjoy it.

Habit of Mind - Seeing the Funny Side

The HOM we are unpacking this week is 'Seeing the Funny Side.'
We will be looking at the importance and benefits of laughter.
Here are some jokes that were used to get our giggle juices flowing.

If you're a Maori in the kitchen, what are you in the wharepaku?
European - you are a pee-ing!

What's pink and fluffy?
Pink fluff!

What's pink and blue?
Pink fluff holding it's breath!

What did the big dinosaur say to the little dinosaur?
Lunch!

What is a dinosaur with only one eye called?
Doyathinkhesaurus!

Cross Country

Bang! And we were off. It was as if there was no air. I was slowing down by the minute. Then suddenly heard a noise in the distance. It was my class encouraging me which picked up my speed. I was happily sprinting to the finish line. Once I had finished I was huffing and puffing with red splattered on my face.
